Insurance Rebuild Value/Costs Whangarei
Have you been asked for a house rebuild valuation?
Big changes are ahead for house insurance, no longer will insurance companies be working with unspecified replacement cost – they will now be asking for an accurate figure for rebuiding your home.
This is where we come in, we supply an affordable accurate independent written appraisal. This enables you to choose which insurance provider is giving you the best deal.
Award Inspections will sort it, one visit, one report – Job Done.
We look at materials and design features that contribute to leaky buildings and some of the potential risks of leaky homes.
We look at problem areas and how to identify if your home or a home you are thinking of buying is at risk of being a leaky building. If we do discover your home has problems with leaking and weather tightness, we look at the options available and discuss an appropriate course of action with you.
Specialists in Plaster Clad Houses
Managing Director Nick Godfrey (Licenced Building Practitioner # BP12280) is trade certified in two disciplines, Building & Exterior Plastering so is well qualified to assess and advise on all aspects of weather tightness and/or cladding and structure. With so much uncertainty surrounding leaky buildings, having your purchase inspected by a trusted and qualified inspector is your sure way of ensuring you are making a sound investment.
Code of Compliance
Building Consents
Generally speaking, most building work on your property requires a consent from the council. Once constructed, your project will also need a Code of Compliance Certificate to confirm that it was all built to plan. Any building work that has been completed without a consent can be retrospectively permitted with a Certificate of Acceptance application.
Acting as your agent and advocate, we can complete all the paperwork for you. With your sign off we then lodge your consent application with the Council. Any correspondence from the Council is then directed to us so we can keep your consent on track for approval.
